Why you should vote for Joe Tirio

I love our state and the people in it. Flat, fertile land, fresh water, hard-working, friendly people. There’s no doubt why they call this the heartland.

God has bestowed these and so many more gifts on our state. This should make us the envy of every other state. Instead, we are the punchline to political jokes. Jokes that poke fun at political mismanagement, cronyism, and corruption.

The sad part is that those jokes have a basis in fact. This state has been run (in large part) by people with little interest in what’s right or what benefits the people. So many have used their position in government simply as a means to create and keep power, and to enrich themselves beyond what is appropriate.

When my wife and I decided to get into politics, we wanted it to be clear we were in it for different reasons than the norm. We did this by demonstrating personal sacrifice in our work and by remaining involved in our community after the election had subsided.

As your Clerk, I am everyone’s Clerk. I treat none differently based on their party alignment. So, I can’t guarantee that the red team will win all elections. But I can guarantee that you can trust that my actions will be just, fair, and honorable. And with that, I simply ask for your support and to join me and others to save our state and restore it to a place of greatness among its peers.
